University of California’s §127 Educational Assistance Plan

Employees can receive a 66% reduction in fees for courses taken at any campus of the University of California through the University of California Reduced Fee Enrollment Program. To take advantage of this program, the employee must be accepted to the University of California. The Reduced Fee Enrollment Program is available to career employees who have completed their probationary period and have gained admission to regular University class session while working at the University. Eligible employees receive a two-thirds reduction on both University registration and education fees. A fee reduction is available each quarter for up to three classes or nine units whichever is greater.

Professional Development

University employees can be reimbursed for all or part of expenses incurred for approved employee development activities. These expenses will be paid from appropriate departmental funds. Reimbursements for developmental activities require advance approval from the Department Head.
